Our vision is To join with families to reach and teach children the Word of God, while developing a culture of love and servanthood.

Here at TFC Youth, we focus on developing a relationship with every student that walks in our doors. We believe that if we can make a Godly impact in one student’s life, that student will impact another life and the cycle will continue. In time, an impact will be made on their community, their world, and their generation.

Joey & Deserae Garza are the Weslaco Children's Directors and have been in that ministry since 2015. They have been attending TFC for over 10 years now. 

Joey is most passionate about helping children grow in their walk with Christ. When he has free time, he likes to read, create music and spend time with family.

His go to bible verse is Hebrews 11:1.

"If it weren't for Jesus I don't know where I would be. "

Deserae is most passionate about leading children to Jesus and teaching them how to surrender everything to Him and how important that is. During her time off she likes to spend quality time with her family, find ways to improve life, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, and she enjoys dancing.

Her go to bible verse is 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT).

"Children are a gift from the Lord. Letting go of their hand is difficult, but when you entrust your child into our care you are ultimately trusting Jesus. I may hold your child's hand, but Jesus is definitely leading the way!"

Mikey is a graduate of LTC Season 2 and an Intern under the Student Ministries Department. Mikey is also our Weslaco Youth Director. He is receiving spiritual guidance, training and being equipped to lead. He and his wife Samantha Montano now serve in full time ministry and were both graduates of LTC Season 2!
