WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Bible is the authoritative Word of God- the product of more that 40 human writers, over the span of more that 1500 years, who wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the source of all doctrine, instruction, and correction. It contains all that is needed for guidance in godliness and practical Christian living.

Our God is one, but eternally existent in three persons: The Father, The Son (Jesus), and The Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and co-eternal.

Man is a created being, made in the image and likeness of God and was created to be in relationship with Him. Through Adam’s disobedience, sin came into the world and separated man from God. Although now born with a sin-nature and separation from God, humans can be reconciled with Him through the redemption found in Jesus Christ.

Though separated from God because of sin, reconciliation to God can be found when man surrenders their life to Jesus Christ, making Him their Lord and Savior. This decision leads to “new birth,” or salvation, and means that eternity will be spent in heaven with God after their life on Earth.

Baptism in water by immersion is a direct commandment in scripture and is the outward display of what God has done in the heart of the individual. The physical act of being baptized is the Christian’s identification with  

Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire is a gift from God as promised by Jesus Christ to all believers alive today and is received after the “new birth.” It is the promise to empower the Church to preach the Gospel throughout the Earth. This experience is accompanied by the physical evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance.

Sanctification is the progressive work of Grace in the life of the believer as they yield to the God’s Word and the Holy Spirit to complete the development of Christ’s character in us.

We believe marriage is defined in the Bible as a covenant, a sacred bond between one man and one woman, instituted by and publicly entered before God.

Physical healing of ever sickness and/or disease is brought by the power if God through the laying on of hands. It was provided for in Jesus’ work on the cross and is the privilege of every member of the church today.   

(EXODUS 15:25-26, 23:25; DEUTERONOMY 7:15; PSALMS 103:2-3; ISAIAH 53:3-5; MATTHEW 8:17; MARK 16:17-18; JAMES 5:13-15; 1 PETER 2:24)

Jesus Christ will return from Heaven, physically and visibly, for the second time to establish His Kingdom. This will happen at a time undisclosed by the Scriptures but known to God. Upon this return, those who have died in Christ will be raised to life and meet Jesus “in the clouds.” The eternal destination of all people, both saved and lost, will be determined at the Final Judgement, determined by their relationship to Jesus Christ,

Upon the final judgement, those who die without accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior will be thrown into the “lake of fire” and, therefore, have no further opportunity to receive salvation. The lake of fire is literal and is eternal separation from God. This is what the Bible calls “Hell.”
